Lead enters buildings through things called solders. Or by lead paint. Kids find the paint to taste good.
Lead is most dangerous to small kids and pregnant women.
Schools are also another way for kids to get exposed to lead. The Newton health department is working on fixing the fountains in most of its schools at the moment. This is a two year project, but could go longer.
